If you’re anything like me and love a good list, or you have no time to be organised and need something for on the go, the Out of Milk app might be just what you’re missing!

Out of Milk is a free app available on the Google Play Store or Apple Store, and it’s a great tool for creating and sharing lists with others.

The app includes a barcode scanner, with the option to manually input quantities and prices. Great for thinking of those all-important back to university items with a budget!

You can create a to do list, or a list of items to buy. Here’s some list ideas:

  • Books to buy
  • Moving accommodation to do list and items to buy
  • To do list for your placement
  • Birthday presents
  • Items to pack for vacations
  • To do list for exam preparation

Then inside your lists, you can create categories and group items together. Once you have ticked an item off in your list, this will be added to your ‘cart’ which acts like a repository.

I use Out of Milk to update a weekly food shopping list, and share this with my partner to collaborate. So when one of uses the last household item, we will add this to our weekly food list to buy.

There is also a bonus recipe area, keeps dinners with your housemates organised!

Along with my other commonly used apps like Spotify, WhatsApp and the usual social media apps, I get just as much use out of this app.
